(Senior) Longevity Research Analyst: Hybrid –UK, US or Canada based (ET preferred in US/Canada): 2 vacancies available
Role Description
The role will be focused on delivering high quality longevity research, thought leadership and new analytics for use by our pension plan and life insurer clients. The primary focus will be on exploring new ideas and insights, with these ultimately forming the foundations of new products / extensions of existing products into new markets. Throughout your work the application of statistical knowledge to create commercially focussed insights will be key.
You will be expected to be comfortable working with R and a willingness to use an extensive pre-built code base to ensure efficient and timely production of analysis.
The role will involve working with internal stakeholders across a range of statistical, actuarial and business development roles. You will be expected to be comfortable presenting your work internally and to external clients / stakeholders and as the role grows you are likely to participate widely in industry forums.
Key responsibilities will include:
- To support the application and development of longevity analytics for new markets (including new countries)
- Scoping and delivery of market leading longevity research and analytics under the guidance of experienced industry experts
Longevity Experience Analyst: Hybrid –UK, US or Canada based (ET preferred in US/Canada)
Role Description
The role will initially be focussed on providing high quality analytics and support in the production of mortality / longevity experience studies to aid clients in the effect use of both our mortality profiling and experience analysis tools for their back books of data / larger transactions. The role sits within our thought leadership and client services team and there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to grow to take on additional roles and responsibilities in performing high quality research and analytics to further the market’s understanding of longevity patterns.

- Identifications of limitations of the experience analysis data
Longevity Data Analyst
Our ideal candidate will play an important role in Club Vita’s longevity data collection and analysis for our large and growing dataset -- covering over 1,000,000 pensioner records. This includes overall responsibility for efficiently processing club member longevity data submissions, assessing data quality using Club Vita’s proprietary systems and processes, and subsequently generating longevity analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Provide pensioner longevity analysis to a wide range of US pension plans.
- Prepare and validate pension plan data and assess suitability for use and reasonability.
